Menopause & Hormone Therapy
Bioidentical Hormone Therapy for Menopause Can Help You Feel Like Yourself Again!
Menopause is a natural part of life—but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer through it. At iRenewHealth, we’re here to help you feel better, sleep better, and take control of your health.
We provide compassionate, personalized care for women going through all stages of menopause. Whether you’re just starting to notice changes or deep into post-menopause, we’re here for you.
We treat menopause symptoms with Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). This therapy uses hormones that are chemically identical to the ones your body naturally makes.
BHRT helps restore hormonal balance and relieve frustrating symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain, and fatigue.
At iRenewHealth, we tailor your hormone therapy to your body’s unique needs—so you feel your best, naturally.

What is Menopause?
Menopause is the time when your menstrual periods stop, usually between the ages of 45 and 55. It’s officially menopause when you haven’t had a period for 12 months. But the symptoms can start years before that (called perimenopause) and last well into your 60s.
Most women go through three stages:
- Perimenopause: The transition period before menopause (can last 4-8 years)
- Menopause: Officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a period
- Postmenopause: The years following menopause
And some women experience menopause earlier because of surgery (hysterectomy), medical treatments, or other health conditions.
Common Symptoms of Menopause
If you’re not feeling like yourself, your hormones might be the reason. During this time, your hormones—especially estrogen and progesterone—start to decline. This change can cause a wide range of symptoms:
- Hot flashes & night sweats
- Sleep problems
- Mood changes (anxiety, irritability, depression)
- Memory issues & brain fog
- Weight gain (especially around the abdomen)
- Hair thinning & dry skin
- Vaginal dryness & discomfort
- Decreased sex drive
- Frequent urinary tract infections
- Joint & muscle pain
- Heart palpitations
- Reduced bone density
You’re not imagining it. These symptoms are real—and we can help.

Emotional and Mental Changes in Menopause
Menopause doesn’t just affect your body—it can affect your mood, thoughts, and emotions, too. Many women experience:
- Mood swings
- Anxiety or irritability
- Depression or sadness
- Brain fog
- Trouble concentrating
- Memory issues
These changes happen because your hormone levels are dropping, especially estrogen. Estrogen supports brain function, so when it decreases, your mental clarity and mood can be affected.
The good news? BHRT can help restore those hormone levels, helping you think more clearly and feel more emotionally balanced.
Hormonal Causes of Menopausal Weight Gain
Many women notice weight gain during menopause—especially around the belly, hips, and thighs. This isn’t just about diet or exercise. Hormones play a big role.
Low estrogen levels can:
- Slow your metabolism
- Change how your body stores fat
- Increase cravings and appetite
- Make it harder to build or keep muscle
- Raise cortisol (stress hormone), which leads to more fat storage
BHRT can help correct these imbalances. Combined with lifestyle changes, it can make weight loss and weight management much more achievable.

For your appointments, please note that we are an out-of-network provider. This decision allows us more flexibility in providing thorough care tailored to your needs, which often requires more time and varied treatment options than what insurance constraints allow.
If you have a PPO plan, your medical insurance may reimburse a significant portion of your visit costs. Upon request, we can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your medical insurance for reimbursement. With an HMO plan, your visits may not be covered, but your medical insurance might cover some or all of your laboratory (lab) work expenses. If you want to use any insurance benefits, you will need to check with your insurance company to see if they will reimburse any expenses or cover labs.
Medical insurance policies now often require meeting deductibles before covering any lab costs, often requiring full payment until deductibles are met. To help manage expenses, we have negotiated lower lab prices to ease these costs for our patients and offer substantial savings on lab work costs for self-pay patients.
To understand what your medical insurance covers, contact them and inquire about your coverage for out-of-network medical providers and lab work costs. Depending on their reimbursement rates, our discounted lab program may provide you with significant savings.
We make the best treatment decisions for you, which might not always align with your insurance’s coverage. But we will work with you and do the best we can for you in this respect.
Yes, we accept FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) as payment for visits and supplements purchased.
